I love trying new restaurants and last Friday I went to Mercato di Vetro for the first time.
Its a new restaurant by SBE Group (The Bazaar, Cleo, XIV, Katsuya...) and was no different than the others; great service, delicious food, sexy decor and ambiance! We had a table downstairs, that was the only downside, upstairs is a lot sexier with the low lighting and the bar but with a last minute reservation for 10 I can't complain. I loved the food!!! Italian "tapas" style, small portions you can taste lots of different plates.
Several favorites: the bread, the mushroom, carpaccio, artichoke hearts... the blood orange drink hummmm! Actually everything was amazing!!!
Definitly going back soon!
