Her life sounds like a fairytale... Fashion Designer Diane Von Furstenberg was born in Brussels, Belgium and once held the title of Princess of Furstenberg... she lost her tittle but kept the name and became the Queen of the Wrap Dress!!!
Diane Von Furstenberg served as an inspiration for Andy Warhol, Julian Opie, Chuck Close and many others and has been the subject of a number of artistic renderings.
In 2005 Diane received the Lifetime Achievement Award from the Concil of Fashion Designers of America (CFDA) for her impact on fashion, and one year later was elected the CFDA's president, an office she continues to hold.
I could live in DVF clothing... from day to night, vacation and work. I'm always excited to see the new collection! Easy silhouettes and always giving lots of options. Spring 2012 she focused mainly on florals... bold prints, not an easy task but always executed perfectly and became her signature.
