Lately I've been more excited about the street styles during fashion week than the actual shows. The Styles on the street give us immediate inspiration and are more realistic and practical than the fairytale fashion Shows and Magazine Editorials. I love to see the different ways fashionistas interpret the designers creations and the mix of high & low fashions. This time challenged by the freezing weather, I believe many fashionistas had to make last minute changes adding some layering's, fun hats and furs proving that you can always look stylish even under blizzard conditions.
I still have a hard time playing with prints, but really admire those who know how to put it together... some people have the vision to pick prints that blend with their bodies, hair, tattoos, style and personalities. Don't think that because summer is over you can't use your floral prints... get inspired, play with it, mix it up, take a chance, its never to late to bloom!
Monochromatic - Head to toe same color and Gucci couldn't presented better.
Fresh, feminine and very elegant! I haven't been into to ruffles for a while but the soft and settle flounce proposed by Gucci made me think twice... I think I just changed my mind.

Since the love for wedge sneakers continous I'm really glad Nike didn't make this style only for the Liberty collaboration. I love Liberty prints, I own the red ones but had my fingers crossed for solid colors! I just ordered the black ones, I hope they fixed the weight, it was a bit to heavy but no matter what good price, quality and great sneaks to own!
For the past 10 days I've had the Olympic fever!!! I'm actually very impressed of how much I've watched. Living in the US you watch mostly the televised games that Americans are competing on but so what, a huge part of me is American now and since Brazil is not present in all sports go Team USA!!!
The Olympics of social media, yes that's right, there were athletes getting in trouble because of racism and irresponsible tweets, but it also was the most fashionable Olympics yet. Many controversy's involving the uniforms. The USA is probably the most popular, the uniforms designed by Ralph Lauren for the opening ceremony were produced in China, causing a whole commotion, outch! For my taste the beret looked to french!
I find it really interesting when the uniform colors are not the flag colors, why? I just want to know why? It's the Olympics for God sake, that should be the number one rule when designing sports uniforms, to represent a country. Maybe four exceptions of colors: black, white, gold & silver. Now my question, why did the US gymnastics team wear pink? Why? Why? I wish more fashion designers were involved and collaborated with sports brands.
Stella McCartney designed Great Britain's uniforms, how cool was that? That's what 'Im talking about; she's been collaborating with Adidas for a while, always had a very strong sporty signature in her ready-to-wear designs and on top of it all I loved seeing her attending many events. If I could medal a designer with the most Olympic spirit, the gold medal would go to Stella McCartney!!! She also has one of the best instagram updates. @stella_mccartney
USA wasn't the only one manufacturing their uniforms out of their country... The Spaniard outfits were designed and manufactured by a Russian company called Bosco. With six million people unemployed and an economic crisis choosing another country to manufacture their uniforms reflected poor creativity, another ouch! The Olympic committee said Bosco designed the clothes free of charge, how nice are the Russians? (more)
I can't get into many more details otherwise this posting will be to long and my editor will kill me! Moving on... Italians looked really sharp wearing Armani and their Sailing Team wearing Prada... I wouldn't expect any less from the Italians, always perfect!
Another one to add to the list is the famous French house, Hermes who designed the uniforms for the French equestrian team. Tree chic!
Cedella Marley the daughter of legendary Bob Marley collaborated with Puma for the Jamaican athletic uniforms as you could see worn by Usain Bolt, the world's fastest man.
I hope Brazilians get inspired by these Olympics and in four years can be really creative. I hope we can improve on winning medals, but our hospitality and fashion looks to be promising for Rio 2016!
Congrats to all athletes it has been a real joy to watch these Olympics!

As much as I love summer I can't help but to crave Fall's trends and the color red is on the top of my list! I was never really into this color but now with so many available options it's impossible not to desire, desire and desire! Red is one of the warmest colors. The color of passion and lust! On the negative side it can mean temper or anger. In China, red is the color of prosperity and joy. But try not to be close minded, like I used to be, this fall we can play with reds, that's right, reds... not only one shade, there is a whole range: scarlet, ruby, crimson, rusty red, brick red, maroon, merlot, burgundy, dark red... What about materials? Laces to die for, laser cut leather, silks, wools, fur... And if you can't or are not ready to commit all the way accessories and even red lips will do! Get inspired!

While I was in New York one of the first things on my list besides visiting friends was a trip to the Metropotitan Museum.
A few years ago I had no idea who Elsa Schiparelli was but thanks to Mrs. Coreas an amazing and passionate instructor in my Fashion History class whom made me follow in love with various, amazing designers that we don't hear and talk about as often anymore. It was a very intense summer class, but I really enjoyed diving into fashion history every day. At that time I even scored one of Schiparelli's original hats on e-bay auction, now stored in a beautiful box inside my closet.
I had an unbelievable time at the Museum transporting myself and analyzing the work of such amazing fashion artists; that's how they like to be called and they truly are!
What a perfect duo for an exhibition! Elsa & Miuccia, designers from different eras, both much involved with arts, Italians who debuted in fashion almost by accident. The exhibit takes you in an incredible journey exploring striking affinities.
If you didn't have the chance to see the exhibition and love fashion in all aspects the book is a must have! Sold on amazon.com or at the Met museum site.
How about you are not allowed to take photos? Sorry Met Museum the experience was amazing but it wasn't enough... how can I share only with words? I did snap some illegal shots with my iPhone, but I wasn't the only one! The show gives us a selection — dense and vivacious — of Schiaparelli jackets and hats and Prada skirts and shoes. But despite the “waist up, waist down” theme none of these forms come elevated or lowly, which is nice. Schiaparelli gives us a hat in the form of a shoe; Ms. Prada makes sneakers that look like Cadillacs. By Holland Cotter for TheNew York Times
