In New York for VS Fashion Show 2012

This was really exciting... I was actually there!!! Kind of last minute plans with some obstacles, canceled flights but we made it! I thought I had to save the post until the show aired on TV but with the amount of press out why not now,  right? What an adventure... going to NY for 24 hours with a storm watch... but Lorrayne & I were really excited specially to see Alessandra Ambrosio wearing the fantasy bra! Almost no sleep... travel with your best friend is a lot of fun and since we don't get to do this all the time we forgot we were on the redeye and talked most of the flight... we got to NY early then we added one more, Renata.  More excitement... a quick nap and it was almost show time. End up not wearing what I planned... but didn't really matter was super cold and wet and comfort was more important. The storm wasn't as bad, at least for me and Lorrayne brazilian/californian we were actually excited about the snow!
What a production... OMG! It is a real show...
The transformation of The Stage/Runway, when you thought it couldn't get better it goes beyond your expectations
The music... Rihanna, Bruno Mars, Justin Bieber can it get any sexier than that? Rihanna was so amazing I already got tickets for her concert in April of next year in LA.
Impeccable sexy girls! Excuse me, I know they work hard for those bodies... impossible not to get jealous... They are like flawless you actually stare to find something wrong, lol...  I couldn't believe Adriana gave birth over a month ago and looked the way she did, amazing! Ale couldn't look any better and expensive wearing the orchid wings and the VS Floral Fantasy Bra set by London Jewelers.
Great fashion crowd and a spectacular time!
After the show we went back to Renata's to change and off to a girls dinner at Milos... by the way an amazing Greek Restaurant. Since we were in the City that never sleeps it doesn't end there, we met with Ale at the Victoria Secret's after Party. What a fun time!!! Cant wait to watch all over again this time from home.
The show will air on CBS, Tuesday, December 4th, 10 PM Eastern/ 9 PM Central.
Partners in crime... Lorrayne Mathias in Rack 75, Renata Maciel in Issa, the view from her place in NY, VS invites, Snow, I wore 10 Crosby by Derek Lam Leather Tulip Dress, Burberry Coat, Balenciaga Booties and Chanel Bag.

The Monochromatic Look of Gucci SS 2013

Love!
Monochromatic - Head to toe same color and Gucci couldn't presented better.
Fresh, feminine and very elegant! I haven't been into to ruffles for a while but the soft and settle flounce proposed by Gucci made me think twice... I think I just changed my mind.

Couture Fall 2012

I can't help but think about Leandra Medine from Man Repeller when the subject is Couture.  In general I love the corky sarcasm in her writing but especially the way she quotes Couture: "If it looks like a vagina it's probably couture".  I used to be overwhelmed about this special collection but not so much anymore.  I've always had a huge respect for designers but after attending Fashion Design school it has elevated my respect to the next level.  I can see the beauty in really simple things even a well made t-shirt but when you talk about Haute Couture, its high quality, expensive fabric, time-consuming and lots of hand-executed techniques by the most experienced and capable seamstresses it should not look like a pret-a-porter collection.  The fact is I'm not that excited about all Haute Couture with some exceptions of course!  Mr Galliano we miss you, Couture will never be the same without your eccentric creations.  Below is what caught my eye in the latest Collections!

Brazilian Designer - Patricia Bonaldi

It has been a few weeks now since the Fashion Show but  brazilian designer Patricia Bonaldi is making my heart beat faster this season. When I look at her designs some names that cross my mind like Balmain, Marchesa, Givenchy, Pucci... but inspirations come from everywhere, right? It can get even better with a brazilian twist! I've been drooling over her designs for a while and I feel that right now she's in her peak moment! The new collection looks a-m-a-z-i-n-g! Lace, silks and the spectacular beading work that as far as I know is hand made in Minas Gerais, south east of Brazil. The neon beaded dress will be in my dreams for a while... I'm sure of that!
With all the glamour and sparkles, The Copacabana Palace, couldn't be a better choice to show case the amazing designs! Patricia Bonaldi you rock!!!
To complement the designs in the Fashion Show, the shoes, excuse me, "The Shoes" - Luiza Barcelos another name to keep in mind why don't I have little hearts like in the iPhone???   to die for!
The accessories also by Patricia Bonaldi, the spiked tiara (looooove, need!), belt, bracelets & minaudière... OMG! last but not irrelevant love her choice of make up for the show!
